Account Verification

Verification links a Discord user to an Among Us identity through a temporary Niko233 verification lobby. Hosts can require global verification before someone joins a queue. Servers can also keep their own verified-member list and verification roles.

Niko233 is deprecated

The Niko233 server network is scheduled to shut down at the end of 2026. MAUQ's current lobby-based verification flow still uses that network while a replacement is prepared.

Verify Your Account

Run /verify in your DM with MAUQ, then:

  1. Choose Europe, North America, or Asia.
  2. Use the provided link to add the matching Niko233 server to Among Us.
  3. Join the temporary room using the code MAUQ gives you.
  4. Return to Discord and press Confirm.

The session lasts up to ten minutes. Guest accounts and accounts without a valid friend code cannot be verified.

Privacy

Verification records can include your Among Us friend code, hashed PUID, platform details, and the network identifiers used to detect duplicate identities. Server moderators can inspect verified accounts for moderation purposes. Read MAUQ's privacy policy before continuing.

Join a Server's Verified List

If a server has posted a verification panel, press Verify. Users who are already globally verified are added immediately. New users complete the verification steps first. After that, the server may give or remove configured roles.

Remove Verification

Run /unverify in your DM with MAUQ. You can:

  • Leave one server's verified-member list while keeping your global identity, or
  • Delete all verification data associated with your Discord account.

Deleting all data affects every server and cannot be undone. You can verify again later.

Queue Requirements

Queue owners can toggle verification with /queue verification. This checks global verification, not membership in a specific server's verified list.
